Where are you from and where do you live now?
Born in Nebraska, raised in between Las Vegas and over the hump in Pahrump (this is where Steven I first got sponsored by the same skate shop and met) I now live in Boulder City, right outside of Las Vegas.
What do you like about Vegas?
Growing up I got to experience the city living in Vegas and the small town aspect of pahrump. Once I became old enough to get out on my own I chose Vegas for the lifestyle but as I came to grow my own family I moved us to Boulder City. It’s a great middle ground. The weather is on point year around, the community is awesome, and it’s only a short 20min drive into Vegas to meet up with Cole for a shred sesh.
What would you call yourself?
A professional shredder...of many things, my first car was a red 91 iroc Z28 camaro. I drove that car like I stole it. You know the way it was built to be driven. Just like the Summerboard, I wanna shred as hard as I can. Also I can’t not mention I am a husband and father of 2 awesome kids.
Do you have any nicknames?
Your mom/GF/sister/wife knows me as JT lmao... Vegas stuff
What sparked your interest in Summerboard?
I enjoyed the challenge of mastering a new board. I was already ripping on the Leif tech as well as playing around with freeboard and then summboard comes out and it’s a no brainer with that sleek design.
What does Summerboard help you do?
Rid of boredom.
Was there one thing that really pushed you to pull the trigger and buy the Summerboard?
Seeing the battery on top and realizing we could probably hit rails and jump these things!
Where is your favorite place to ride?
Sometimes it’s just a quick cruise around the neighborhood while walking the dog, group rides downtown every once in a while, and my favorite is heading the the skatepark warming up on my skateboard and then get to shredding the SBX and watching everyone in the park with envy in their eyes lol.
What kind of sensations / feelings do you have when you ride?
It’s pure bliss. Sometimes I get super “giddy” like being flooded with Adrenaline lol this thing is absolutely amazing. There’s few things that give me this type of rush, like a 6.3L V8 LS3 ya know what I mean. It’s that kinda fun. Like this board has power. It’s intense to hit full speed and throw a spin or even hit a jump.
What is your field of work? Is it passion or is it something that allows you to explore your passions outside of work?
I am an independent entertainer in Las Vegas. Absolutely love the lifestyle/ career I’ve manifested. It started from forcing myself out of my comfort zone and into facing fears. Those skills have now led to building our YouTube channel LVSHREDQUARTERS. The best part about having a career being an entertainer is that it provides freedom to express yourself in any way that you please. It’s taught me confidence even in making mistakes, owning the present moment and continuously moving forward. Quite similar to everything skateboarding has taught me over 20+ years.
Where is your favorite place to ride?
Wherever the suns shining bright so we can capture those epic shots on the Insta360

What would you tell a snowboarder that has only seen Summerboard online, and is wondering if this board is legit or not?
Summerboard nailed it with creating a snowboard simulation on land. The riding mechanics are as close as it gets
